As well as their offering of cordless tools, Makita also has a line up of corded saws. The Makita 5402NA is a high capacity saw, weighing in at a lightweight 28.7 lbs for the size of the saw. The motor of the 5402NA delivers 1800 watts and operates at a relatively quiet 87dB. The 5402NA is a large capacity saw that can cut up to 16-5/16", and the saw comes with a carbide tipped blade for maximum cutting power.

Makita has also recently introduced a line of reciprocating saws, including their heavy duty model JR3070CT. The JR3070CT comes with a 1-1/4" stroke for fast cutting and features a variable speed dial for setting the saw's maximum speed. Makita also has a line of jigsaws, with products such as the Model 4324 that come with many convenient features. The 4324 has a speed dial, does bevel cuts, has positive stops at 90 and 45 degrees, and operates at a relatively low 82dB. The 4324 also features a dust cover that prevents sawdust and chips from flying everywhere. The 4324 also operates with relatively low vibration for smoother cuts.
